junq is an independent literary magazine based in Hamilton, ON, dedicated to creating and curating a space for people in the community, and around the world, to share their creative works. we publish fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, art, photography, and reviews quarterly in print, with an interest in redefining or suturing what we might call "low” and “high" brow works, subjects, or mediums.

junq is an homage to the art and legacies of print. the form and aesthetic of 60s and 70s literary magazines are the spring from which we dream and publish, in the hopes to bridge the print ephemera of the past with the curiosities, concerns, and desires of the present.

peace and love,

junq
